Annual Giving
NYC Photo Journeys is passionate about responsible tourism and making a difference not only in the lives of our guests by showing them a fantastic time in NYC, but also our sisters and brothers around the world.
For this reason, we donate 1% of profits made from tours booked directly on nycphotojourneys.com to 100cameras.
The 501c3 non-profit organization is funded entirely by donations.
Their mission: to teach kids how to use storytelling through photography to make lasting change in their community.
Their storytelling curriculum teaches personal development along with basic photojournalism skills, and the children’s photo stories are turned into sellable products. All proceeds directly fund their own medical, educational, and lifeline supplies.
A check will be written out to 100cameras in Q1 of the following year, once taxes are complete for the previous year.
TripAdvisor Review Donations
Since September 2017, for every review left on NYC Photo Journeys TripAdvisor page, we’ve donated $3 to a timely charity.
- In 2017, we donated to GlobalGiving.org
- In 2018, we donated to The Joyful Heart Foundation
- In 2019, we donated to Robin Hood NYC
- In 2020, we donated to the Best Friends Animal Society
- In 2021-2023, we donated to City Harvest
In 2024, we will again be donating to City Harvest, a nonprofit focused on feeding hungry New Yorkers. Currently, 1.5 million New Yorkers are struggling to feed themselves, in part due to COVID-19. Monetary donations help with this, as $27 can feed two hungry New Yorkers for an entire month.

Ongoing Giving & Volunteer Work
We also work with New York Cares—a non-profit organization that aims to improve New York City by addressing community needs through volunteer-driven programs—throughout the year.
For instance, in 2024, we participated in their annual “Winter Wishes” campaign to help buy gifts for children and teens from low-income families.
